“I have tried so many times, and recovery doesn’t work.”
This is one of many similar quotes from our research with Illinois adults struggling with Opioid Use Disorder (OUD). To encourage exploration of Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) for OUD, we developed the media campaign Rethink Recovery with the Illinois Department of Human Services.
We’re proud to share our newest ad for Rethink Recovery called “A New Game Plan.” In the ad, we explain how MAT is different from other recovery options as it actually helps curb cravings and block the effects of opioids. Importantly, the ad empathizes with how difficult quitting opioids is, especially when attempting to do it alone. But with MAT, adults benefit from a clear game plan for recovering from OUD.
